Biography

Helena Milman has over 15 years of experience as an attorney in the Chicagoland area. Ms. Milman immigrated from Russia during her high school years, and was granted a full scholarship to Rockford College, where she excelled in political science. A graduate the John Marshall Law School, Ms. Milman is known for her communication ability, her gregarious personality, and for her negotiation skills. Ms. Milman initially served as an associate attorney with Forrest L. Ingram P.C., where she concentrated on business and consumer bankruptcy cases, civil litigation, collections and consumer rights issues. In April, 2014, Ms. Milman joined the Law Office of Peter L Berk, and now is a Partner with O’Keefe, Rivera & Berk, LLC.  Ms. Milman currently focuses on representation of debtors and creditors in bankruptcy cases, on real estate transactions.  Ms. Milman is a member of the Federal Bar Association, and is fluent in Russian.  She has been named an Illinois rising star in Bankruptcy law.
